Digi International Showcases Complete Edge-to-Cloud Embedded Solution for Connected Product Development at Embedded World North America 2025

New open IoT Application Framework accelerates development by addressing the complexity of connected product deployment at scale from edge to cloud

DIGI INTERNATIONAL BOOTH 6021a, ANAHEIM, CA, NOVEMBER 4-6, 2025

ANAHEIM, California, October 30, 2025 – Digi International® (NASDAQ: DGII) will showcase its edge-to-cloud embedded systems solution at Embedded World North America 2025.

Exhibiting at Booth 6021a, Digi will showcase its next-generation embedded solutions, including Digi XBee® wireless communication modules, the Digi ConnectCore® family of system-on-modules (SOMs), as well as Digi ConnectCore Cloud Services, the award-winning ConnectCore Security Services, and the new Digi IoT Application Framework.

OEMs building connected products face the challenge of integrating embedded hardware, secure connectivity, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing applications. The IoT Application Framework solves this complexity with a complete reference implementation, enabling OEMs to accelerate innovation and deliver customer value faster.

Open Reference Application Built on Proven APIs

The open Digi IoT Application Framework, available on GitHub, provides a fully functional reference application built with Next.js and React, a widely-used modern framework familiar to web application developers worldwide. Provided in source code, this reference application provides best practices for leveraging Digi Remote Manager® APIs, while enabling OEMs to customize it for their specific industry and use case requirements.

Features include dashboards for real-time monitoring, an optimized event-driven architecture for real-time data updates, interactive map-based location visualization, template-based configuration and software compliance, automated configuration scanning and OTA updates, and a cloud log for API interaction debugging.

The IoT Application Framework enables digital twin capabilities by providing virtual representations of physical assets using real-time sensor data to monitor operations and optimize performance. Example applications span across industries such as tracking vehicles and optimizing routes in transportation, monitoring industrial equipment performance and scheduling predictive maintenance in manufacturing, managing building HVAC systems for energy efficiency, or monitoring medical devices in healthcare facilities.

As part of the framework, the IoT Device Simulator allows customers to validate the scalability and reliability of their solutions without physical deployments by creating thousands of virtual devices with configurable behaviors and alerts, including failed updates or disconnections.

"Building connected products is complex: OEMs must integrate embedded hardware, security, cloud services, and customer applications," said Bob Blumenscheid, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Digi International. "We solve this for our customers with a complete solution: ConnectCore SOMs for secure embedded hardware, ConnectCore Cloud Services for proven cloud-based management, the new IoT Application Framework as a ready-to-use reference implementation, and the IoT Device Simulator for testing at scale. OEMs can now accelerate their development from edge to cloud, reduce risk, and get to market faster."

Visitors can experience the demonstration of the IoT Application Framework, showcasing management and digital twin visualization of connected devices based on a public transit use case, in Booth 6021a.

Edge AI Panel Discussion

Providing additional insight and expertise at the show, Digi is also participating in a panel discussion, “Edge AI is Happening – IoT Yields First Use Cases”, hosted by Keith Kreisher, Executive Director at IoT M2M Council. Felix Galindo, Principal Engineer at Digi, will be among three panelists for this session, which will explore where edge AI and tinyML are delivering the earliest and most meaningful impact from predictive maintenance and real-time classification to anomaly detection and sensor-driven intelligence. The session takes place Thursday, November 6, 11:15 am – 12:15 pm PT, in Room 303D.

The Digi ConnectCore MP2 SOM will also be featured on the STMicroelectronics Wall of SOMs at Booth 4015.
