Opengear Forges Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro Spain

Building on Ingram Micro’s successful relationship with Opengear in the U.S., Ingram Micro Spain will now distribute Opengear’s market-leading remote-management technology to customers in Spain.

EDISON, N.J. – Nov. 08, 2022 – Opengear, a Digi International company (NASDAQ, DGII, www.digi.com) and leading network-resilience solutions provider, today announced it has entered a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Spain. Building on Ingram Micro’s successful relationship with Opengear in the U.S., Ingram Micro Spain will now distribute Opengear’s market-leading remote-management technology to customers in Spain.

“Opengear’s out-of-band management solutions provide our customers a greater degree of resiliency for the enterprise products from Cisco, HPE and Extreme Networks that they already purchase from Ingram Micro,” said Carlos Hospital, Director of Ingram Micro’s IoT business unit. “As a Cisco Preferred Solutions Partner, Opengear can offer a proven vendor solution – and a risk-free incremental revenue stream – to our Cisco resellers. For our resellers, who are already trusted advisors, we offer a wider range of solutions – from standalone console servers to large-scale, fully automated container deployments for the most demanding user environments – all backed by Ingram Micro’s presales support, innovative financing options, and world-class logistics engine.”

“This new distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Spain gives us greater global reach and expanded coverage,” said Gary Marks, President of Opengear. “We look forward to offering Opengear’s market-leading network-resiliency solutions to customers and channel partners through a complementary overlay for Ingram Spain’s Advanced Solutions team. This is also a strong opportunity to scale our global reseller channel, and we anticipate extending this agreement to other European regions as well.”

“Ingram Micro is already an important distributor for Opengear in both North America and the APAC region, so we welcome this opportunity to reach more global customers and channel partners with consistent first-class service in the EMEA region as well,” said Alan Stewart-Brown, Vice President of EMEA at Opengear. “Despite global supply-chain issues that continue to affect all hardware vendors, Opengear is proud to have achieved strong double-digit growth during a difficult economic period. With Ingram Micro’s representation in Spain, we will be even better positioned to continue to scale our business as we expand our reach into new markets and verticals.”
