Wireless Keytar

It’s official, the XBee is finally changing the way musicians play music. The creator of this project built a circuit that wirelessly transfers MIDI signals from a keyboard to an XBee system connected to a computer. This allows him to play his keytar and the digital information stored in each note is wirelessly transmitted from the piano to a computer, which eliminates the need for cords.

To achieve this result, he manually configured the XBee’s voltage and the MIDI signals to work with the logic translator circuit. His project enables a musician to create music without the hassle of plugging in and re-discover the Keytar.
