Pre-certified Digi XBee® 3 modules offer the flexibility to switch between multiple frequencies and wireless protocols as needed. The flexibility of the common software layer Digi provides on top of the RF networking stack allows developers to implement a variety of different use cases. In addition to standard transparent AT modes, Digi offers a unique software layer for external devices to interface with an XBee module called XBee API.
In this video, we cover the API mode on the XBee 3 RF module in detail, explain the use case and demonstrate it in a live session. Additionally, we walk through the steps to perform an RF range test using the XCTU® tool and two XBee 3 modules.
