The Gobi 3000 cellular radios will not provision for Sprint or Verizon on firmware versions 5.2.9.x and 5.2.10.x in Digi TransPort cellular routers.
The Gobi 3000 can be provisioned properly by using firmware version 5281 or older. Firmware 5281 can be found at the link below for all TransPort models:

The Digi TransPort can be upgraded to firmware versions 5.2.9.x and 5.2.10.x after it has been successfully provisioned on an older firmware version.
