Edgeports output about 9 volts on the serial interface.
Even though Edgeports only receive 5 volts input from the USB port, there are internal components that increase the voltage.
Note that this is lower than 12 volts which native/onboard serial ports usually output, but may still be higher than other brand USB-to-serial converters.
