Unknown UDP port showing up on a network scan and/or netstat on the LTS.

This unknown UDP port is used by syslog.  
This UDP port may appear and disappear since it is opened only when there is data to log on the syslog server.
Syslog uses a random UDP port when it is started.  So this port may change if syslog is stopped and started again.
