HOW TO: Configure Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU Bridge using ConnectPort X2/X4 Gateways and Series 1 XBee Modules
First make sure the Xbee nodes have
joined
with the ConnectPort X2/X4 802.15.4 Gateway:
Once joined, ensure the XBee node settings are configured with the same PAN ID as the ConnectPort X2/X4 Gateway, the proper DL/DH setting on the XBee node(s) are pointing to that of the ConnectPort X2 and the MY setting is configured for 0xffff to disable 16 bit addressing (64 bit addressing only with Modbus) These settings can be configured from the web interface of the Gateway:

Next configure the Modbus settings from the Industrial Automation menu on the gateway:

Configure a name for the table:
Configure the protocol/port:
Configure the Industrial Automation table:
Example completed table:
Unit should be rebooted to implement changes.
