If the Digi TransPort has RS485 option in its hardware, you can change mode of the serial port by navigating to Configuration - Network > Interfaces > Serial > Serial Port 0 > Advanced, locate the option titled Async Mode and change the parameter to RS485, as shown below:
After this is done, make sure to click the Apply & Save Change to Profile 0 button to set the changes on the port. Note: This is not the standard Apply and Save buttons
