HOW TO: Confiigure Digi One/PortServer Units for Multiple Connections and Switch Between Them

By default, you can have up to 4 simultaneous sessions. This is defined in the "sess" field under the port settings.

The session feature allows for multiple telnet sessions from an attached terminal or PC. For example:

A user logs into the Digi unit and telnets to a host:

#> telnet 192.168.0.1

The user can issue the ] to return to the prompt. You can then telnet to another host:

#> telnet 192.168.0.3 Now you can switch between the two sessions:

<CTRL> ] 1 <ENTER> (return to session 1)

<CTRL> ] 2 <ENTER> (return to session 2)
