PCI-X adapter is not detected in HP DL145 system running Linux

Within the system BIOS menu, select the ''Advanced'' tab. In the ''Advanced'' window there is

''MCFG Table: [Enabled]

This must be set to:

''MCFG Table: [Disabled]

Otherwise, Linux will not see the PCI-X slots correctly.

One can use the ''lspci'' command to see if the PCI-X cards are found. It is also helpful to update the descriptions by running ''update-pciids'' and then running ''lspci''.
