How to Register Your Device
Introduction
This article describes the device registration process.
Applies to: This process applies to the following product families: Digi Cellular Routers, Digi Connect EZ, Digi Connect IT, and Digi XBee Cellular devices.
Why Register Your Device
Registering your device offers several benefits:
- Warranty and support — Registering your device often ensures that you are eligible for warranty services and technical support.
- Digi Remote Manager — Access to our device management and analytics platform.
- Software updates — You may receive notifications about software updates or upgrades.
- Product information — Registration can help you access product-specific information and resources more easily.
- Security — Registration can enhance security by allowing the manufacturer to verify ownership and provide assistance in case of theft or loss.
Registration Methods
There are two methods to register your device:
- Method 1 — Digi Remote Manager (DRM): This is the preferred method. You do not need an existing account to use it.
- Method 2 — my.digi.com: Use this method if you do not have a Digi Remote Manager account. It also works if you have an existing DRM account. Register your new device at my.digi.com.
Method 1: Register in Digi Remote Manager
Go to https://remotemanager.digi.com/ui/login.

Step 1a: Sign In or Create an Account
For new accounts:
- If you do not have a Digi Remote Manager account, click the Create account link in the lower right.

- Enter the MAC Address of your device. Note: If your device does not have a MAC address, use the IMEI of your device.
- Enter the Default Device Password of your device.
- Enter your email address. Note: This will be the primary contact used for this new account. It cannot be changed without contacting Digi Tech Support.

For existing accounts:
- If you have an existing Digi Remote Manager account, enter your Username.
- Enter your Password.

Step 1b: Register Your Device(s)
- Once in Digi Remote Manager, click Devices on the left side.
- Click + Register Devices on the right side.

For a single device:
- Enter the MAC Address of your device. Note: If your device does not have a MAC address, use the IMEI of your device.
- Enter the Default Device Password of your device.
- Note the other information you can add.

For multiple devices:
- Select Multiple Devices.
- Load a CSV file to enter multiple devices. On this page, you can download an example file.
- Once downloaded, edit the file, load it, and then click Register Devices.

Method 2: Register at my.digi.com
Note: New User registration is temporarily disabled. Please contact Digi Technical Support to Open a Case if you require a new Customer Account.
Go to my.digi.com. You should see the following:

- If you are a new user, fill out the new user information to create your portal account. Otherwise, log in as normal.
- Once you log into your Portal Account (note that this is different from the Digi Remote Manager account), click Device Registration > New Registration.

- On the next page, click Device Registration for one to five devices, or Bulk Registration for more than five devices. This article covers one to five devices.

- Fill out the registration information.
- SKU: This value may or may not be on your label, PO, or SO. It is also visible from any Digi device's Dashboard page.
- Examples of the SKU: IX30-00P7, IX30-00G4, EX50-WXS6-GLB.
- In the SKU box, you can enter the first portion of your SKU (for example, EX50) and click the search icon. It will return results for you to select.

- You can also search for your SKU number on our Product Page: https://www.digi.com/products.
- The SKU is also visible from any device's Dashboard page. For example:

- Serial Number / IMEI: You should see the S/N on the label. Note: For some products, you need to enter a leading 'S'.
- Reseller or Distributor: Enter the reseller or distributor.
- Extended term of service: Enter whether you purchased an extended term of service.
- For the question "For all Cellular EX, IX, TX family routers, Digi Remote Manager…", select Yes or No. If you select Yes, the next question appears. Otherwise, click Submit (see the final step).
- Do you have a Digi Remote Manager account? Click Yes if you already have a DRM account, or No if you do not.
- If Yes, you will see this menu, which you need to fill out:
